At Soccajoeys we’re focused on developing healthy living skills from an early age. Of course the physical activity involved with each hour-long Soccajoeys class helps to build the foundation to lifelong healthy habits. But nutrition is also a key fundamental element in establishing a healthy lifestyle.
Coach Jose from Soccajoey’s Baulkham Hills says there are two things to remember to make sure your preschooler is fuelled in the healthiest way possible, breakfast and water. Breakfast is important to kickstarting your child’s metabolism and Coach Jose adds, “it provides the energy he or she needs for the day, especially if you are encouraging your child to be active.” It’s also so important to keep your child hydrated. Water is always the best drink. Try to encourage water with all meals and snacks, and provide water after physical activity.
Nutrition and physical activity go hand in hand when building healthy habits for your children. And remember, it’s never too early to start encouraging your child to be a healthy and active child.
