When it comes to kids birthday parties parents are starting to think outside the box, leaning towards birthday parties that promote a healthy active lifestyle. Sports themed birthday parties are a great way to get your child and their friends active and moving, while having a load of fun at the same time.

Birthday parties are also a fun way to spark interest in sports in your child. It gives them something to look forward to and gets them excited about getting active. Experts recommend children get three hours of physical activity each day. A healthy and active birthday party is a great way to achieve this.

Sports birthday parties are also a good tool to teach children important social skills. Coach Jose states that a soccer themed party is all about teaching children teamwork and making sure everyone is included, “Soccer truly is a team sport where everyone works together and has fun at the same time.” Birthday parties can be difficult for shy or introverted children, but a soccer themed birthday party provides activities where everyone can have a go and be included.

When planning your child’s next birthday party, consider something that gets your child and their friends on the move. Not only will they have a great time, they’ll also learn important healthy lifestyle habits at the same time.
